Gourmet Food company in the Hayward area is looking for a seasoned Logistics Coordinator / Customer Service Representative to join their team as a temporary to hire employee..

Position Summary :

The Customer Service / Logistics is the primary point of contact for the customers and consumers, and they are also responsible for processing orders and handling logistics.

Essential Functions

Arrange and manage freight carriers for product shipments from various locations in a cost-effective manner

Respond and follow up on inquiries verbal / written with customers (external / internal), vendors and consumers

Responsible for accurate processing of all orders and to confirm customer purchase orders, pricing, track shipments and communicate any issues in fulfillment

Manage finished goods orders to co-packers, and arrange logistics

Works closely with Operations to manage inventory levels at all locations for the brand

Works closely with brand management on forecasts and new distribution needs

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School degree / GED
• 2 to 3 year’s customer service experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment, or combination higher education and experience
• Experience working within a production and / or sales environment a plus
• Logistics and freight schedule experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills

• Exceptional interpersonal skills : positive, respectful and customer focused
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Results / deadline oriented with effective follow through
• Solid Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with ERP systems
• Experience with EDI a plus
