HUMAN RESOURCES REPRESENTATIVE – RECRUITER

THE PLASTEK GROUP is seeking a full time Corporate Human Resources Representative – Recruiter for one of the Company’s Erie, PA Manufacturing Divisions. This facility performs plastic injection molding and component assembly. This is an excellent and exciting opportunity to work for a secure, progressive, and technologically advanced company.

JOB SUMMARY

To manage the day to day Human Resources Recruiting functions and demands for the facilities located in Erie, PA. Job duties to include;

• Must be outgoing, personable, and have an ability and desire to work with all types of people
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive demeanor and pro-active problem solving skills including actively listening, responding, resolving issues and communicating effectively and professionally with all associates and public
• Recruitment of new hires
• Review of applications and resumes
• Sourcing, screening and interviewing applicants
• Coordinating drug screens, physicals, background checks, new hire paperwork and processes
• Career fair attendance
• Assistance employees with 401(k) enrollment & distributions
• Assist employees and applicants with questions and problems
• Participate in training programs
• Track employee attendance and timekeeping in Kronos
• Human Resources Information System operation & new employee entry
• Support associate engagement and retention programs and activities
• Assisting with various recruiting events
• Recordkeeping and file maintenance
• Provide support to the HR Manager
• Ensure the compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and statues including labor laws and other governmental regulations that are applicable to the company. Providing timely reporting and information to the HR Manager
• Actively participate in meetings when required
• Follow safety rules and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• An associates or bachelors degree preferred.
• 2+ years formal training or equivalent experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of Federal and State Employment regulations – FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
• Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently with a minimum of oversight.
• Proficient in MS Office – Word, Excel and Power Point.
• Possess computer skills for programming & data entry.
• Standard Operating Procedures.
