The Orchards Hiring for Community Liaison (Skilled Nursing & Assisted Living Sales) Full Time

The Orchards is seeking a Community Liaison to join our marketing team. The Community Liaison will be responsible for growing the census and being a positive reflection of The Orchards Health Center while he/she develops and implements a regular structured program of contact and outreach to identify new referral sources and to maintain ongoing relationships that will increase census.

Principle Duties:

• Determines primary decision makers and proactively builds positive, solid working relationships with members of the medical community and partners.
• Promotes and positions The Orchards’ service through regular visits in a manner that illustrates and reflects The Orchards’ quality of care.
• Works to build The Orchards brand as the preferred provider in our service area to achieve and exceed goals for growth and census management.
• Makes regular, planned calls to secure new referrals, build census, and meet established goals on new and existing, referring physicians; facilities; case managers discharge planners and social workers in hospitals; and other health care providers.
• Markets the skilled nursing facility to prospective residents and/or their representatives, giving tours, and obtaining information with which to make an informed decision about the appropriateness of the resident. Encourages clients to take a tour, extends lunch invitations, encourages wait listing. Assists the Dir. of Admissions as needed with marketing events.
• Conducts initial meeting with the patient and family giving an overview of The Orchards.
• Coordinates admissions to skilled nursing. Obtains insurance authorizations, including Medicare eligibility. Notifies all appropriate departments of the pending admission, prepares the admission packet, entering complete information into the computer system, and requests needed documents from resident or resident representative.
• Completes the admission contract and notifies each department with their required information. Collects and logs valuables as requested. Ensures Advance Directives have been requested, that resident is informed as to their rights about medical decisions and privacy, and that each resident is given documentation outlining Advance Directives’ information and how to prepare one if one has not been executed.
• For assisted living, coordinates admission process and processes all required documentation in a timely manner prior to requesting a nursing assessment. Gathers preadmission documentation as needed and provides packet to potential resident. Inputs admission into computer system once resident moves in.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Additional experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
• Minimum one (1) year of sales/marketing experience in healthcare.
• Proven ability to generate and maintain relationships with new and existing accounts including physicians, healthcare professionals, and community agencies.
• Knowledge of Medicare and HMO regulations preferred.
• Facilitates and actively seeks positive feedback for social media postings and Reputation Management Program.
