Organizational and Leadership Effectiveness is responsible for enhancing organizational and leadership effectiveness through strategy formulation, execution, and management; culture, engagement, shared values, and change management; leadership development, coaching, and consultative services; and development of talent systems and solutions that drives excellence across the institution.
Talent Management is responsible for enhancing organizational effectiveness and well-being through planned, systematic changes in attitudes, beliefs, and values through the implementation of integrated HR programs including performance, succession, executive coaching and assessment, culture, values, and employee engagement. Reviews current state and desired future state and employs techniques of behavioral science to better enable the organization to adapt to change. Sets strategy for leadership development and may influence organizational design.
Individual Contributor – Specialized – Work is primarily achieved through individual efforts or by participation on functional or project teams. May coordinate, influence, or review the work of others. May be the primary owner/authority on a given program or process. Requires the application of specialized expertise within a profession to achieve results. Emphasizes in-depth knowledge, project management, and influencing skills. At more seasoned levels may manage one or two direct s or cultivate relationships to produce optimal results. Typically requires a university degree or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of fundamental theories, principles, and concepts. Developing depth of specialization. Career may plateau at this level; barriers to entry may exist. May serve in lead or supervisory capacity of 1-2 resources.
Applies developed industry knowledge and advanced understanding of concepts, principals, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects. May develop new practices, processes, metrics, or models. Works on or may lead highly complex projects of large scope; provides solutions which may set precedent. Projects may have significant and long-term impact. Independently determines method for completion of new projects; receives guidance on overall project objectives.
May provide guidance to less experienced colleagues. Conveys difficult, complex, or sensitive information; facilitates productive dialogue. Persuades others to consider different options
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Higher Education, Human Resources, or another relevant field.
Minimum 6-8 years of relevant experience.
Certifications in coaching, engagement, leadership assessments.
Demonstrates strong project management skills.
Experience with and strong understanding of leadership development and engagement strategy.
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills including strong written and oral communication skills.
Exhibits strong leadership skills, and the ability to influence at all levels of leadership.
Identifies, analyzes, and addresses a wide variety of matters with a solutions-oriented lens in a high-intensity environment.
