The NSW Electoral Commission, based in the CBD, delivers trusted and independent systems, processes, oversight and engagement that support democracy in NSW. Their work includes running elections, communicating and engaging with the pubic and stakeholders and investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral laws.

About the role
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and partnering with the business and the HR team, you will be accountable for developing and implementing a fit for purpose talent acquisition function to enable a great candidate and client experience and build a strong brand and attract and maintain great candidates. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Consult with hiring managers on talent needs and develop briefs, strategies and process
• Develop and implement recruitment policies and practices for the organisation
• Coach, support and build hiring managers capability in the hiring of talent
• Develop the EVP for the organisation
• Co-ordinate panel interviews and attend where necessary
• Bring new ideas and contemporary approaches with regards to hiring
• Develop and implement talent metrics and reporting
• Review and assess current recruitment system for future needs

About you
As the successful candidate you will be an experienced and dynamic talent acquisition professional who has outstanding communication and consultation skills. You will have a background in setting up, implementing and running TA functions and still enjoy “hands on” recruitment.

This opportunity will suit an individual who is looking to work in an all-encompassing TA position with the variety of project work, operational recruitment and high-level consultation to build the right talent strategies, hire the best talent and coach hiring managers.
