The Newton School Hiring for Elementary Education Teacher Job at Boca Raton, FL Full Time

We are on the hunt for two teachers with distinct personalities to work with our exceptional students in our exceptional new private micro school in Boca Raton, serving 12 children in grades K-3. Our school is designed to meet the needs of children who are at or above grade level and were academically successful in their traditional school but who struggle with social skills and emotional regulation. We have a rigorous academic curriculum, coupled with social skills development. We also weave emotional regulation strategies throughout the day and teach coping skills in real time. The ratio is no more than 3 adults to 1 child. Our children are typically diagnosed with high functioning autism and/or ADHD. This is a part-time, 5 hour a day position, with prep time included. • Ability to build good relationships with children, parents, and support staff
• Ability to collaborate effectively with parents and support staff
• Ability to work well with children from different backgrounds who have different abilities
• Well-organized, self-driven and flexible to devise and adopt new techniques for teaching diverse learners
• Ability to manage challenging behavior with some support
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate, kind and patient with kids
• Excellent leader and mentor for students
• Strong attention to detail and an inquisitive mind to understand each individual student

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
