Position Summary
The MS/HS Math Teacher position is responsible for developing and maintaining positive classroom environments by nurturing the social and emotional health of all students by adhering to an exceptional high expectation for academic growth.
Prior experience working with children with dyslexia is a definite plus.
As long as you have your work done on time, you may have most Friday’s off.
Responsibilities

· At least 3 years’ of classroom teaching experience preferred
· Experience teaching special-needs and/or dyslexic children preferred
· Knowledge of brain-compatible curriculum, instruction, and assessment
· Strong time management, organization and communication skills; detail-oriented
· Compassionate disposition; willingness to become involved in student success
· Solid judgment, foresight, problem-solving, analytical and business acumen skills; strong attention to details
· Able to multitask effectively
· Excellent interpersonal and electronic communication skills; ability to determine best form of communication for varying situations
· Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate as a team member on a broad variety of projects
· Ability to work extended hours and various work schedules as needed including overtime and weekends
· Must adhere to required schedules and school policies and procedures
· Ability to speak, write, and follow instructions and read the English language
· Ability to demonstrate moral character, honesty, tact, fairness, patience, lack of prejudice and desire to help when dealing with people of varying social, cultural and economic backgrounds; creates and promotes a harmonious work environment
· Ability to perform in a professional appearance and manner
· Able to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people with varying sociologic-economic and cultural backgrounds
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word; Excel and Google with the ability to develop creative methods to integrate technology into daily curriculum
