As an integral member of our Team, you will assist the Chief Financial Officer to effectively and efficiently manage the financial operations of the business.

What you’ll be doing

• Accounts payable duties
• Prepare and upload monthly and annual budget, actuals and estimates data into the Central Budget Management System
• General ledger maintenance
• Prepare various reconciliations for review by the Senior Accountant or CFO
• Ensure policies and procedures are updated as required.

Note, interstate travel may be required as part of this role.

What you’ll bring with you

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role (preferred)
• A highly developed understanding of accounting principles
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A comprehensive understanding of finance related deadlines, including month-end and year-end along with their importance to the business
• Ability to work under pressure when needed
• Professional presentation and manner
• Ability to manage a diverse range of duties
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
• Ability to problem solve with a capacity to work through new processes
• Experience with accounting systems (Xero is highly desirable).
• Experience working in a similar role in the hospitality industry (desirable)
• Experience using the Microsoft suite of products

Salary: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
