The Moret Group Hiring for ASSOCIATE TECHNICAL DESIGNER at New York, New York Full Time

The Associate Technical Designer will assist and support the Design, Production, and Senior Technical Designers in all aspects of the design process from concept through production. He or she will work with these teams to meet all deadlines, create and update all product tech packs for all development and production stages.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Partner with Design to create initial development technical packages
• Be able to measure and evaluate garments for fitting proto through production stages
• Lead fit sessions for knit and woven product on dress form
• Effectively communicate fit notes to factories using photos, Excel, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Assist senior technical designers with taking fit notes and photos in fit sessions on live models 
• Making sure product specs are consistent for all factories for all seasons
• Provide daily email communication with factories in a timely manner
• All other duties as assigned by the Designer and Senior Technical Designers

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-4 years experience in Technical Design for Women’s Knit & Woven product
• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent experience and education
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
• Strong organization skills
• Spec and tech pack development
• Ability to manipulate paper patterns to communicate fit and styling changes
• Excellent time management, written, and verbal skills
