The Microfibre Consortium (TMC) are looking for a fulltime (37.5 hours per week) Office Manager to join our expanding team based in the UK (virtual working). We will also consider part-time applications of 30 hours per week or above. This Office Manager opportunity is offered on a permanent contract.
TMC is an SME company operating as a non-profit within the clothing industry. The company facilitates the development of practical solutions for the textile industry to minimise fibre fragmentation (microfibre release) to the environment from textile manufacturing and product life cycle. We deliver our vision through the Microfibre Roadmap in collaboration with the textiles sector through our collaborative cross industry agreement, The Microfibre 2030 Commitment. We are the only company 100% focused to managing fibre fragmentation and release from textiles to the environment and are the go-to organisation on this topic internationally.
Responsible for a wide range of tasks, and reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Office Manager role is responsible for managing any administrative staff, whilst working closely with all functions in the company to manage the smooth day-to-day operating of the TMC business. Working alongside a team who are passionate about what they do, the Office Manager will be an integral part of the team underpinning the ability for everybody to do their job so that the team are able to do the best work that they can do.
This Office Manager role gives you a real opportunity to further develop your career, with the potential to develop into an Operations Manager in the future.
The main responsibilities for the Office Manager role include but are not limited to:
Finance – Providing the day-to-day fiscal support for the business, liaising between the Finance Director, Executive Director and the team.
Business Processes – Leading the way with company processes and systems reflective of the business needs and deliverables. Day to day to include
HR – Supporting a company approach both internally and externally (through relationships with external contractors) that is both respectful and inclusive.
Communications –working across internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the company communications are aligned with company mission and vision and raising any discrepancies.
