Finance Manager

We are seeking a commercially minded, and team oriented Finance Manager at The Melbourne Clinic & The Victoria Clinic. The role will provide accounting support to the on-site General Manager and Department Managers through delivering accurate and timely month end reports, weekly forecasts, budgets, and relevant financial reports as required.

The Finance Manager is a dynamic, adaptable professional with the ability to work to strict deadlines. You will deliver weekly forecasts and month-end reports as part of the weekly and monthly work cycles and have the ability to work on ad-hoc projects as required. You will be pro-active in seeking to improve processes and find savings and efficiencies, whilst actively pursuing your own professional development goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of the Month End reporting pack to inform hospital management including analysis of operational outcomes and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting
• Preparation of weekly forecasts and relevant analysis to ensure accuracy
• Coordinate the Hospital’s budgeting process and annual reporting in line with Healthscope policies
• Identifying opportunities for business improvements in the delivery of hospital and involvement in development projects as required
• Provide advice to the Hospital and department leaders regarding financial and performance matters and contribute to the development of the Hospital’s operational plans
• Meet corporate governance requirements by ensuring work is delivered in accordance with legislative and policy requirements
• Develop and maintain strong and constructive relationships with hospital management, doctors, and non-financial stakeholders

Selection Criteria

To succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate all or most of the following skills and experience:

• Qualifications in accountancy/finance management
• CA/CPA qualified
• Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel (Advanced an advantage) and PowerPoint
• Tech 1 or similar GL reporting experience – required
• Relationship / Team Building and ability to work with non-financial stakeholders
• Healthcare or hospital industry experience desirable
