The Matian Firm, APC Hiring for Accounts Receivable Specialist Job at Los Angeles, CA Full Time

The Account Receivable Specialist oversees the A/R and A/P efforts of The Matian Firm. As the Account Receivable Specialist you will partner with the Finance Team and the Legal Department to ensure those customer complaints and service downfalls are being addressed and mitigated to the best of our ability. The Account Receivable Specialist you will report directly to the CFO. This position plays an essential role in minimizing our financial loss by implementing receivables, and collections procedures that reduce the amount of delinquency encountered.

Responsibilities

• Develop implement policies and procedure to improves the efficiency of AP/AR efforts
• Maintain an understanding of the legal industry, while communicating and responding to client needs
• Create daily projection reports
• Take necessary actions to encourage debt payments
• Manage all credit/debit card disputes from beginning to completion
• Process payments and refunds
• Manage a large pool of delinquencies
• Communicate with delinquent clients daily
• Send out collection/demand letter after 24-48 hours of delinquency
• Document clients account to ensure that all steps are taken to resolve the balance
• Investigate the historical data for each debt of bill
• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience as an Account Receivable or similar role
• Basic accounting procedures, bookkeeping, data analysis, documentation, research and resolution skills
• Experience reading and interpreting client contracts
• Experience within’ the legal industry is a plus
• Excellent mediation skills are must
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
