The Market Bosworth School is seeking to appoint an inspirational member of staff to assist in the leadership of our experienced SEND Team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the success of the SEND department and will be integral to our future whole school development. Specific experience is less important than an unwavering desire to support all children, alongside a flexible and committed teamwork approach.

We are proud of the support our SEN students receive, in 2018 Ofsted commented that “The leadership of the provision for pupils who have SEN and / or disabilities is a strength of the school. Pupils who have SEN and / or disabilities are supported well in all aspects of school life.”

Job Purpose

*To support the school SENDCo in all aspects of their role, including department administration, LSA line management, staff training, EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) initiation and reviews.

*To deputise for the SENDCo in their absence

*To provide efficient administration for the SEN department and to support students as required.

*To work alongside the SENDCo in establishing best practice for inclusion across the whole school.

*Develop relationships with parents, LA and multi-agencies that positively support SEN students and the role of the SENDCo.
