Full time High School Science and Mathematics Teacher

The MacDuffie School is seeking an immediate opening for a full time Science, and Math teacher for the remainder of the 2022-2023 academic year and beyond. Courses include Introductory and AP Statistics, Conceptual and Honors Chemistry, and ELL Integrated Science

A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Science or a related field is required. Experience working with international students is an additional plus. Duties include teaching, acting as an advisor in the advisory program, participating in faculty development and administrative functions, and occasional weekend commitments for the boarding program.

Department Chair and Residential duties, with the associated room and board, is possible for the right candidate, but not required.

The MacDuffie School is a coeducational college preparatory school for boarding and day students in grades 6-12, located in rural Granby, Massachusetts. The current enrollment is around 200 students, with approximately 50% boarding. The average class size is 10, with a student-teacher ratio of 6:1. Our setting in the Five College area provides unique access to educational and entertainment opportunities in the towns of Amherst and Northampton.
