Due to our continued growth, we are seeking Assistant Resident Engineers for a major infrastructure project in Staten Island, NY.

Responsibilities

• Assist Resident Engineer on all administration of project including daily exchange of correspondence, scheduling, submittals and RFI’s
• Daily supervision of construction activities insuring compliance with plans, codes and standards and for compliance with schedules and deadlines
• As directed by the Resident Engineer, perform routine site visits when and where necessary to ensure that Consultant Staff are performing their required activities in accordance with the Contract and to supervise, assist and instruct Consultant Field Inspectors on various construction issues
• Track project progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Construction Management
• PE License required
• 5+ years relevant experience in similar construction work, including construction administration in a supervisory capacity or equivalent experience acceptable to MTA C&D
• Excellent communication skills for interfacing with internal and external contacts
• Problem solving abilities
