Locum Principal Lawyer North West £50 – 65 per hour DOE Part Time Sellick Partnership are recruiting for a Principal Lawyer to join a well-respected and welcoming local authority in the North West on a locum basis for a period of 6 months initially, with the view to extend thereafter. The role will be part time for 3 days a week. Responsibilities of the Locum Principal Solicitor include but are not limited to: * Managing the authority’s General Law team of 6 – 8 lawyers and support staff. * Delegating workloads across the team and undertaking light touch management across the legal service to include 1-2-1s and team meetings * Undertaking governance related work and you will also be expected to pick up more complex cases which arise * Areas covered on the team include regulatory prosecutions, licensing, adult care, injunctions, planning and highways enforcement, human rights act claims, commercial, planning, property and other enquiries, statutory orders and notices, FOI/data protection and general advice/litigation. This is a great opportunity for someone who is a Senior Lawyer and looking to take the next step up in their career. Candidates ideally need to have experience within local government and have exposure to more than one area of law.
