The Legists Hiring for Commercial Litigation Paralegal at Leicester Full Time

About your new role

Your primary role will be to provide case handling and administrative support to the Litigation ROM team.

As a Paralegal you will be provided with the opportunity to work on a wide variety of Building Guarantee claims including fire safety, water ingress, and structural defects claims. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting fee earners with various tasks including general case management, legal research, drafting of Policy decision letters and s to clients.
• Attending client meetings to support fee earners
• Assisting with the instruction of technical experts
• You will be expected to be able to perform detailed analytical reviews of complex and sensitive materials and evidence
• You will be expected to respond promptly and accurately to correspondence and telephone enquiries from client and other parties, with and without supervision
• Achieving set financial and chargeable targets
• Supporting the team’s business development activities

As a Paralegal you will also ensure that you comply with the relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures, and consistently work in accordance with our values.

About You

You will have previous experience as a Paralegal and a genuine and demonstrable interest in the above area of work. As the role is varied, we are looking for you to have a flexible approach to the work you do and be able to adapt to different tasks. We also require you to have:

• Excellent time management and organisation skills
• Ability to multi-task and prioritise
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and targets
