The Legists Hiring for Business Development Specialist at London Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a new Business Development Specialist, on an initial 6-month FTC basis, on behalf of our client, a leading US law firm in the heart of the City.

Predominantly supporting the Life Sciences group, the BD Specialist will be a key team member within the marketing department, working directly with senior colleagues and Partners across multiple offices. The role will involve developing and executing clear strategies and business plans, and managing an aligned range of business development pursuits, marketing campaigns and client events.

Responsibilities will include:

• Project managing the RFPs and pitching process.
• Writing new business proposals and conducting matter research.
• Consulting with the practice team leaders to develop and coordinate marketing plans.
• Attending industry group meetings.
• Helping senior leadership to prepare and manage the BD budget.
• Conducting market research to support practice development initiatives.
• Leading the drafting and submission of rankings, awards, surveys and league tables.
• Working with senior BD members to plan sponsored events.
• Working alongside the PR team to identify thought leadership topics and assist media engagement.

Suitable applicants will be degree-educated and have gained prior experience in a BD/marketing role, within a US or international law firm environment.
