The Lazar Center Hiring for Professional Tutor (Grades K-6) Job at Charlotte, NC Full Time

The Lazar Center for Learning and Achievement is seeking kind, energetic, and Experienced Teachers. These warm and patient individuals should have a passion for Elementary Education and use creative methods to teach students while building their confidence.

Our tutors are professionals that nurture young minds while maintaining a happy, healthy and safe environment. On a daily basis, tutors will help students strengthen their writing, math and reading skills specified to the student’s needs, along with executive functioning skills.

We are specifically looking for a tutor who will be confident working with students in grades K – 6 with phonics, reading comprehension and fluency. Teachers with experience helping students navigate online testing and virtual environments is preferred. Please have examples of teaching experience ready to share!

Job Duties:
– Noticing specific student needs & communicating them
– Help with content mastery
– Introduce new ways for students to learn material as needed
– Help develop students’ problem solving skills
– Help foster and create organization skills

– Help students navigate online testing and virtual environments

– Foster consistent open communication with center director and parents about progress and individual achievement.

Former classroom and experience is strongly preferred. When inquiring about the position, please include availability, experience, and which grades/subjects you are most confident in.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 – $24.00 per hour
