General Purpose of the Position:
Following Kellen Best Practices, the Manager, Education will support the assessment, design and development of education, certification, and accreditation initiatives on behalf of Kellen’s nonprofit clients. We’re looking for someone who works well in a team environment yet can lead a project on their own. Must be detail oriented and ‎‎organized, self-motivated, and comfortable ‎with both in ‎person and online delivery of education. Experience with association ‎education, Continuing Education (CE) implementation, ‎and learning management systems is preferred. ‎Due to the nature of the business we conduct at Kellen, a COVID-19 vaccination is required for employment and adhere to a two-day a week hybrid policy.
Essential Functions
Manage education, certification, and accreditation projects as a business partner with internal staff and any external vendors to ensure a balance between time, quality, and cost.
Manage complex accreditation processes according to defined third party standards to ensure clients demonstrate credibility and legitimacy to their stakeholders.
Assess education, certification and accreditation needs of clients to create effective and efficient plans for solutions and services that address specific requirements, potential growth, and constraints.
Design and develop innovative and outcomes oriented online education solutions utilizing a variety of methods and tools based in line with project plan and scope of work.
Design and develop best-in-class certification programs using the latest methods and technology to ensure an efficient approach to supporting candidates from application through attainment of certificate.
Ongoing Development
Serve as a supportive resource and coach for Kellen staff responsible for ongoing implementation of education, certification, and accreditation programs for their clients as well as to ensure quality delivery of administrative functions handled outside of the department.‎
Am I qualified?
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an education, certification, and accreditation, or related role.
Familiarity with professional societies and/or associations preferred, including those in healthcare.
Must be proficient in professional Certification Programs. (Includes, but not limited to: setting up registration, processing applications, payments, coordinating exam dates and materials, distribution of certificates, etc.)
Must possess a working knowledge of ANAB/ANSI Standards
Experience using technology to design and develop online education and certification programs, including ‎Learning Management Systems (LMS) is required.‎
Proficiency in continuing education, certification, and accreditation processes and the related technology is required. Including, but not limited to, ensuring compliance with/tracking Continuing Medical Education (CME), CE, Continuing Education Units
(CEU)and other standards-setting bodies.‎
Technical skills preferred in the following: educational needs assessments, item writing, test development, ‎synchronous and asynchronous virtual education programs, instructional design, content capture, abstract ‎programs, digital badging, program evaluation, education inventories, etc.‎
Ability to establish credibility and build collegial relationships with all levels of staff and volunteers.‎
Experience working with and motivating a volunteer workforce is desired. ‎
Polished communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution.‎
