The Judge Group Hiring for Logistics Manager at Oklahoma City, OK Full Time

The Logistics Manager oversees and manages all aspects of logistics operations within their department in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Logistics managers will be responsible for efficiently planning, coordinating, and executing transportation operations for multiple regional distribution centers.

The primary objective includes directing and mentoring a team of Logistics Planners, managing transportation P&L, optimizing processes and routes primarily, minimizing costs, and enhancing overall efficiency while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, training, and support for their success and professional development.
• Manage departmental budget and P&L, maintaining expenses to deliver the operating plan.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies, KPIs, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and meet organizational objectives.
• Plan and coordinate transportation of goods (inbound & outbound), negotiate contracts with carriers, freight forwarders, internal fleet (Gemini), and other logistics service providers.
• Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to identify areas for cost reduction, performance enhancement, and risk mitigation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the transportation management system (SAP TM), dispatching solution, and champion future IT-Transportation related projects.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, customers, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the supply chain.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in logistics management, recommending innovations to improve efficiency and competitiveness.
• Autonomously lead all facets of the day-to-day transportation operation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Education :

HS Diploma or equivalent.

Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation / Logistics / Supply Chain or relevant field preferred.

Experience :

3-5 years’ experience in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain.

Prior operational experience supporting multiple distribution centers is a plus.

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Skills :

Proficient in Microsoft Office, analytics platforms (Tableau, Power BI, , SQL experience is a plus.

Strong customer relations background with all levels of internal and external customer engagement required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize sensitive situations in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment.

Team player with time management skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and a strong work ethic.

Typical Physical Demands :
