The Digital Content Developer is responsible for new and ongoing digital curriculum development for the JCI Digital Learning Center (DLC). Ensures that digital education, eLearning and content is appropriately identified, scheduled, developed, edited, reviewed, approved, and updated as necessary and that it is of high quality, timely, relevant, and accurate. Proficient in and keeps up to date on the latest tools and trends in the digital learning industry to produce cutting edge e-learning content. Helps to ensure that JCI Digital Learning Center meets internal and customer satisfaction. Also, serves as a content development liaison for existing and new JCI products by reviewing and updating content to be more engaging and contemporary.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualizes, develops, and acquires content for the JCI DLC initiative. Works in collaboration with stakeholders including, but are not limited to, JCI accreditation, JCI consulting, publications, education, marketing and others.
  • Converts select JCR publications into interactive and dynamic e-learning
  • Coaches subject matter experts on utilizing best practices in adult learning principles for their presentations and education offerings
  • Produces analysis of learner evaluation as per ADDIE method.
• Applies ADDIE instruction design principle whenever appropriate to design and develop education courses and curricula. Specifically,
  • Analyzes JCI customers’ education needs and wants.
  • Conducts an annual needs assessment
  • Designs instructional end goals and creates content that matches them
  • Develops new content or repurposes existing content
  • Implements instructional graphics, learning interface and modules
  • Evaluates learning outcomes and conducts voice of customer research.
  • Provides analysis on needs assessment outcomes
• Creates schedules and plans for initial content development and then ongoing content update and improvement.
  • Works with Technical Project Manager to produce efficient and cost-effective project plans that meet budget parameters
• Works with JCI DLC team in a supporting role and other stakeholders to ensure that DLC content provides education value and insights for JCI customers to better prepare for their JCI accreditation survey and address survey findings post accreditation survey.
  • In cooperation with department heads conducts sensing sessions with subject matter experts
  • Analyzes program evaluations to provide recommendations on how to improve content and learner outcomes
• Works with Technical Project Manager to produce and execute communication plans on new content or program changes as needed
• Support JCI DLC product manager, product marketing and sales.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, education, English, journalism, or a related field.

• Knowledge of ADDIE, adult learning principles, design, use of software (Rise)

• Have a good working knowledge and experience using e-learning technology. Able to use or has experience with similar platforms to quickly learn such tools as Articulate 360 suite, Adobe E-learning suite, Camtasia, Qualtrics, SCORM formatting, and LMS administration.

• Five to seven-years of experience in eLearning, including project management, preferably in a health care environment, and managing content suitable for online provision and design/presentation.

• Ability to understand and analyze complex material in a wide range of technical areas in health care areas and ensure effective communication of same.

• Interpersonal skills needed to interact with and elicit cooperation of internal staff and external developers, reviewers, and content experts in developing e learning curricula and courses. Ability to resolve disparate points of view or needs relative to content.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
