We’re looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join our Finance and Resources Team at our London head office. This is a full-time permanent role, with flexible working available on a hybrid basis (60% remote and 40% office based).

In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing rent and service charge accounting and collection for a FPRP portfolio of customers in both social and leasehold housing. The portfolio will be of a mixed tenure, with properties inside and outside of the rent standard for rent increases and including service charges which are fixed, variable or rent inclusive. You’ll also lead on accounting for sales and disposals within this portfolio, including maintaining the fixed asset record and staircasing tracker.
Duties of a Management Accountant:

• Annual rent and service charge budgeting process.
• Service charge budgets and issuing final statements to Customers on a variable service charge.
• Ensuring Customers are notified of rent increases in line with statutory requirements and financial regulations.
• Effective collection processes, meeting specified agreed arrears and bad debt targets.
• Raising charges/refunds as appropriate for deficits/surpluses accounts.
• Advise Senior Management on rent policy, service charge and leaseholder management issues with particular regard to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Preparation and posting of sales and disposals journals.
• Liaise with sales team for information to update the monthly sales forecast.
• Assist financial controller with preparation of financial reporting pack.
• Audit requests and year end accounting as applicable.
