Position Summary:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for developing recruitment strategies to attract and hire best-in-class talent to the organization. Leveraging a variety of tools, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will source and screen candidates with the skills necessary to fill open position, track performance metrics and provide guidance to hiring leaders on the recruitment and selection process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify candidates through social networking, job fairs, advertisements, college placement offices and other sources
  • Prepare phone screen scripts, interview guides and scorecards for use in evaluating candidates
  • Partner with hiring leaders to develop recruitment plans and outline specific recruitment activities to attract the talent needed to support the mission of the organization
  • Manage the recruitment process from initial contact through first day to ensure that newly recruited employees are delivered to their respective departments with the necessary skills and talents to be successful contributors.
  • Track key performance metrics such as time to fill, cost per hire, first year turnover, etc.
  • Participate in interviews, provide counsel with respect to hiring, and performance improvement.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education / Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in talent acquisition or human resources
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
  • Demonstrated skill in developing recruitment plans appropriate to meet the needs of available positions
  • Effective presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills using tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Extremely attentive to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient with industry standard computer applications, including word processing, financial management and presentation software (e.g. Microsoft® Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Working Conditions
Works in an office environment. May require frequent bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting. May require regular lifting usually not exceeding 20 lbs.
