The Half and Half Hiring for Press Operator at Columbia, SC Full Time

We are looking for a lead press operator with at least 2+ years of experience with an M&R flatbed press, Thieme press, or Sakurai press. We print with waterbased and UV inks onto uncoated stock.

Job Requirements

• Operate a screenprinting press (Sakurai, M&R, Thieme)
• Burn screens, mix colors, and in general setup job for print based on specs.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Troubleshoot printing problems on-press and adjust accordingly.
• Help maintain inventory levels of supplies as needed.
• Daily maintenance on presses to reduce downtime as much as possible.
• Monitoring print quality from the start of a job to completion.
• Help stretching new screens

Skills And Experience

We are looking for someone who is extremely detail oriented and is interested in leading our production team. You would have a strong understanding of the printing process and the ability to diagnose and solve problems with the equipment and printing issues. Must have a strong knowledge of color theory and an understanding of mixing and adjusting colors to meet our clients standards. In general, lead our team of junior press operators to help production meet deadlines in the most efficient way possible!

We need someone who is:

• Extremely experienced/knowledgeable with our presses and in general the screenprinting process.

Pay

Pay will be based on your experience, but minimum would be $30 per hour.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
