Currently looking for a Bookkeeper to join our team to oversee accounting and finance operations of withing our company. This team member will be responsible for accounting process, for payables and receivables, assisting with bank documents, billing for common area charges and services performed.

The Bookkeeper is responsible for finance and accounting functions across the organization, that contribute to accurate financial statements. This role also oversees the accounting functions within the property management business, holdings companies and realty company. The bookkeeper is also responsible for day-to-day cash management and making sure that cash is where it is supposed to be to meet company obligations. Must excel in a flexible work environment with minimal supervision.

Qualifications for Bookkeeper:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Masters in Accounting or MBA preferred;
• 5+ years of accounting experience in real estate, property management or construction is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with Quickbooks a must
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented, strong follow-up skills
• Team player
• Ability to multi-task efficiently
• Willingness to be “hands on” as and when required
• Self-starter, ability to work autonomously and take the initiative
• Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment

Responsibilities for Bookkeeper:

• Oversee all accounting operations including; A/R, A/P, G/L, and Cost Accounting, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting including intercompany transactions between various entities (monthly and annual)
• Monitor and report daily cash and funding balances
• Prepare and book journal entries
• Analyze accounting documents for accuracy
• Prepare financial reports
• Manage monthly loan payments and provide loan analysis
• Coordinate the preparation of annual tax returns with outside CPA firm
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Manage payroll and ensure compliance with all labor regulations
• Oversee annual CAM reconciliation and response to tenant inquiries
• Ensure all business licenses are up to date
