The Great Canadian Meat Company in Whitby is hiring a cashier for weekdays and Saturdays. We provide a high quality of service to our customers on a daily basis.

Currently in need of 2 team members available to start ASAP – all daytime hours – no Sundays or evenings!

Must be available to work Saturdays.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and timely manner
• Take orders, handle cash, stock shelves and maintain cleanliness of store
• Maintain an understanding and knowledge of menu items and ingredients, as well as any specials
• Understand or ability to learn food handling, safety and sanitization standards
• Daily cleaning of all work surfaces, floors, equipment, storage containers etc
• Must have good work ethic
• Ability to learn and use a POS (Point of Sale) computer and cash register
• Ability to be a self starter and work as part of a team
• Ability to stand for whole shift
• Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Must have reliable transportation
• Above average pay!
• Must be available to work Saturdays – closed Sundays, Mondays and evenings.

Please note our hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday 10:30 am – 6 pm and Saturday 10 am – 4 pm. You must be available during these times to be considered.
