The Role

Responsible for developing and maintaining all internal and external facing web, and custom applications for The Good Guys.

Responsibilities:

• Develop software in a variety of programming languages including Java, Node.js, JavaScript, Angular, ReactJS
• Develop and manage well-functioning back-end applications using Spring Framework, JPA, Hibernate, REST API
• Utilise robust coding practices, solid unit/component test coverage, and debugging code
• Have a working understanding of deploying application to cloud providers such as AWS or Azure
• Design client-side and server-side software based on a well-defined framework like Event-driven-architecture, microservices architecture, that considers the user experience
• Utilise GIT for source control including branch creation, merge and resolve conflicts, and to troubleshoot easily
• Work with stakeholders throughout the business to ensure the successful development of CI/CD and DevOps practices, processes, and tooling

Requirements:

• At least 5 years’ experience working in a Software Development role
• Relevant tertiary or industry certified qualifications in Information Technology or Computer Science
• At least 2+ years’ experience in front-end development like ReactJs, Angular or VueJs and graphQL
• Previous experience with Typescript, JavaScript frameworks, CSS, HTML and other modern front-end languages – advantageous
• Previous experience in graphic design and UI/UX
• Experience in retail industry advantageous
