The Role

Deliver support to existing business users by identifying, investigating and resolving application issues.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and resolve incidents with systems and software through to resolution and, act as an escalation point for the Application Support team
• Utilise a strong understanding of the business, and retail sector systems and processes, to design and develop systems as required
• Liaise with external vendors for incident and problem resolution
• Analyse and gather requirements for new systems or the enhancement of existing systems
• Provide support to business users as well as other members of the development and broader IT teams, by gathering information and trouble shooting the issue experienced
• Maintain documentation of procedures and known issues
• Conduct testing of new releases and patches for vendor managed applications, maintaining the test strategy on file
• Work with and assist relevant upgrades and patching on internal systems (e.g. POS and PDA Applications)
• Perform ad-hoc requests on an as needed basis at the direction management.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree or industry certification/experience
• Software design and development skills including C-Sharp, .NET experience
• SQL server experience
• Retail industry experience highly desirable
