OVERVIEW:

The Goddard School located in Cypress, TX is looking for a motivated self-starter who has effectively been part of pre-school administration team for a Director’s position. The Goddard brand has been a trusted name among parents and families for more than 25 years. Our classrooms are safe and nurturing learning environments for children as young as six weeks, offering age-appropriate opportunities to discover, explore, and learn. This is a Leadership position which reports directly to ownership with significant influence on school policies and procedures and will work together with ownership to ensure that children and their families feel known and appreciated for their individual gifts and personalities.

Our ideal candidate will have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education and 3 years of experience working in a childcare center as an administrative staff.

• Proficient in computers, Microsoft Office products, and familiar with different Social Media platforms.

• State of Texas Director Credential preferred.

• Meet state minimum requirements for education and experience and clear all background checks without any condition from Texas Department of Families and Protective Services.

• Must be able to lift no less than 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least chest high.

• Must be available to work Monday through Friday, and weekends for special events as necessary.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

o Ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, as well as Franchise policies and procedures.

o Develops and maintain strong working relationships with all state licensing authorities, approved vendors, and community contracts.

o Develop and maintain professional working relationships with academy staff

o Ensure training for all staff.

o Prepare weekly staffing schedule and modify it accordingly depending upon daily attendance in each classroom and ensures state staffing regulations are always met.

o Plan activities and actively participates in staff meetings, training sessions, open houses, planning sessions, etc.

o Follow up with prospective and current parents

o Curriculum and event coordination
