THE OPPORTUNITY

Today 1.1 billion people around the world are needlessly blind or vision impaired. If we do nothing, the next 30 years will see vision loss nearly double. To address this, The Fred Hollows Foundation is embarking on an ambitious and sector leading global fundraising campaign, unlocking significant new resources to make a truly catalytic change in the battle against avoidable blindness around the world.

The Global Comprehensive Campaign is an organisational wide initiative requiring leadership from the Board down and coordination across our global organisation. The Senior Manager, Fundraising Operations will be responsible for the operations of the Campaign with the objective to grow understanding of the Campaign methodology, achieve integration with key teams, and ensure appropriate project management, ing and governance.

ABOUT YOU

You will succeed thanks to your ability to work adaptively in a fast-paced environment, responding quickly to changing needs and emerging priorities. You will have excellent organisational and time-management skills, coupled with strong written and verbal communications skills. Finally, you will possess a collaborative mindset and have an outstanding ability to foster solid working relationships with multiple internal stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Campaign governance: Manage the Campaign’s governance structures including regular ing to the Board and Executive Leadership Team (ELT). With the Head of Global Comprehensive Campaign establish and administer appropriate internal Committees and Working Groups to ensure campaign success and integration. Oversee the administration of external volunteer committees supporting the Campaign.
• Systems and ing: Develop systems for monitoring Campaign success and risk factors, ensuring this information is effectively delivered across the organisation to inform decision making and Campaign success.
• Finance integration: Working in partnership with the finance team, ensure appropriate accounting for restricted, directed and unrestricted gifts with clear ing for internal and donor purposes.
• Policy, guidelines and processes: Working with the Campaign team establish, monitor and evaluate key policy, guidelines and processes that underpin fundraising and gift management processes. Provide strategic advice on changes and improvements with a view to efficiency, localisation and donor centricity.
• Internal campaign communications and training: Establish and oversee an ongoing schedule of Campaign training and communications to ensure all staff are aware of the Campaign and their role in the organisational wide effort.
• Team management: Coach manage and develop team members.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Minimum seven years’ experience in a similar role
• Ability to think strategically and work proactively, managing competing priorities.
• Experience in establishing new systems and processes with appropriate ing in complex environments.
• Previous experience working with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
• Experience with and working knowledge of finance systems and CRMs.
• Commitment to providing a high-quality service.
• Experience managing and developing teams.
• Knowledge and understanding of the international development sector.
• Knowledge of development, the donor lifecycle and engagement activities.
