Overview: An private preschool in Brooklyn is seeking a dedicated Ed Director and assistant to Executive Director. You will help lead our school into the future, as a source of guidance and leadership to students, faculty and our families.

Responsibilities: : Ed director responsibilities include –

• Taking a leadership role in building a strong School community of faculty, staff, and families by establishing and maintaining positive relationships and open communication
• .Supporting classroom guides in the development and implementation of teaching curriculum and assisting them in achieving the educational mission of the school.
• Leading and managing school operations, including preparing and adhering to an annual budget. while ensuring compliance with state and federal education regulations.
• Responding promptly and professionally to concerns, including offering constructive solutions to address issues.
• Managing faculty and personnel including hiring, revising contracts, evaluating performance, coordinating roles and job descriptions.
• Planning and implementing professional development including staff development days, and teacher training programs

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Masters in education or a related field strongly preferred; BA required.

• NYS Teachers Certification in Early Childhood required.
• Minimum 5 years of classroom – school experience in early childhood and/or Head Start programming.
• Previous experience with director, school leadership, classroom teaching, school operations, and community building are required.
• Candidates are expected to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team and possess a deep knowledge and understanding of child development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
