Join The EV Host as a Standard Specialist and lead the development of protocols that enhance interoperability and scalability. Become an expert in our core pillars:

1. EV – EVSE communication: J1772, ISO15118-2, -20

2. EVSE – CPO communication: OCPP1.6, OCPP2.0.1

3. CPO – eMSP/Hub communication: OCPI2.1.1, OCPI2.2.1

Influence our organization and the industry, engaging in global EV charging ecosystem working groups.

About the Role:

– Drive OCPP development within technical groups

– Contribute to OCPI development within technical groups

– Collaborate with architects, developers, designers, and product owners to ensure ecosystem interoperability

– Share industry trends with internal stakeholders

– Provide expert insights to our sales and regulatory teams

– Identify relevant protocols for participation

– Participate in Internal Technical Committees to share knowledge

– Contribute to the company’s software solution strategy and business models

– Represent us at conferences and events

About You:

– 2 to 5 years EV industry experience in North America or Europe

– Technical degree or strong understanding of communication protocols and internet technologies (Websockets, RESTful API, XMPP, MQTT, etc.)

– Proficiency in concepts like Charge Point Operator, eMobility Service Provider, Internet of Things, Smart Charging & Demand Response

– Interest in bidirectional charging concept

– Good knowledge of digital product development processes including Agile

– Ability to translate customer needs into use cases for architects and committees

– Collaborative and eager to share knowledge

– Mentor and develop team resources

– Adapt communication to different audiences
