We are now hiring Full-time Customer Service Supervisor for our Baden, Ontario terminal!

Shift: Monday to Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:
Accept EDI transmissions and enter them in the Erb system, follow up with Erb terminals on pick up requirements and pick up appointment times.

Follow up with customers on transit times and loading times.

Monitor loading, unloading and appointments – follow up with customers regarding delays, missed appointments, supplemental billing ie detention.

Liaison between Appointment Coordinator, Dispatch, OS&D and major customers.

Responsible for some customer service reporting as directed.

Understand all aspects of the computer functions and paperwork as it relates to OS&D, Dispatch, and appointments including the satellite.

Investigate through satellite messages delivery wait times.

Communicate with supervisor regarding customer service problems and potential areas of concern.

Special projects as required by Manager.

Attend meetings on behalf of manager when required.

Recommend operational / customer service changes when necessary.

Assist in decision making with staff when required.

Responsible to monitor and maintain all aspects of the Customer Service department. This includes supervision of department, additional hiring and any required discipline procedures. Daily communication with staff, following occupational health and safety procedures when required, conducting annual staff performance appraisals, dealing with employee issues and concerns, handling customer inquiries, employee orientation and training, and generally overseeing the activities of the C.S. department.

Responsible to plan, monitor and schedule staff to ensure all shifts are covered. Have the ability to fill in when necessary, including sickness and vacations.

To work closely with dispatch and other terminals to ensure customer service issues are resolved.

All other duties as required.

Qualifications:
Previous supervisor experience is required.

Proven keyboarding skills, accurate with details and have knowledge of Erb Operations.

Must be computer literate with specific experience in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Programs Word and Excel. Knowledge of AS400 or Truckmate would be an asset.

Strong sense of respect for confidentiality

Ability to organize, prioritize and to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

Ability to work with strong attention to detail and meet strict deadlines
