Working within the financial accounts team, you will need great attention to detail, a flexible approach, and exceptional analytical and commercial skills to deliver great results. The role will provide significant support to the financial control and management account team.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate weekly bank reconciliation to a deadline
- Assist with foreign currency posting and revaluation
- Produce weekly sales reconciliation
- Responsible for investigating and resolving issues identified as part of the reconciliation process
- Responsible for petty cash posting and management of the till float process
- Assist with the management of fixed assets register and depreciation process
- Assist with the preparation of monthly balance reconciliation
- Prepare and post weekly carrier bag journal
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and annual audits
- Support with month-end close
- Ad-hoc reporting for the business
Skills & Experience
1. Minimum 1 years experience in a similar finance role, retail or multi-site preferred.
2. Experience with working with large volume of data and deliver within tight deadlines.
3. Familiar with accounting packages ideally Unit 4 or similar.
4. Intermediate experience in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
5. Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone with individuals and with a wide variety of organisations and audiences.
6. Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise tasks, handle pressure, and support
