You will be responsible for day to day management, administration, impact data capture and budget oversight of selected programmes within the Education Department
Works closely with other departments, ESU volunteers and external stakeholders to ensure that collective goals and objectives are reached.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Manage and deliver selected programmes in the Education Department portfolio in an effective and efficient manner
Co-ordinate the collection of process evaluation & impact data related to programmes managed and with guidance use this to inform the development of these
Design and develop resources that support and enhance the impact of programmes managed
Collaborate with line manager and colleagues in other teams in order to help secure funding opportunities related to programmes managed and to raise awareness of our work among internal and external stakeholders
With supervision, manage budgets associated with programmes being delivered, ensuring spending is kept within agreed limits. If issues arise in relation to this, co-ordinate with line manager and colleagues in the Finance team to manage these
Work with the ESU’s national and international networks of volunteers to support programme delivery and oracy outreach.
Collaborate with colleagues in the Education team in order to share resources, develop ideas, make connections and realise efficiencies, all of which enhance the impact of work being done
To assist with deployment of programme delivery staff for specific bookings
To work occasional evenings and weekends as directed by line manager, with time off in lieu
Skills and Experience
Essential:
An understanding of the nature and importance of the ESU’s charitable work within educational and wider contexts and a strong commitment to increasing the impact of the organisation’s work
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience of managing multiple projects effectively and efficiently
A strong commitment to and a track-record of effective collaborative working within and across teams
A pro-active and positive attitude to problem resolution
Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft 365 products
An ability to engage with multiple stakeholders in an appropriate & effective manner
Graduate calibre
Desirable:
Experience of managing budgets effectively
A good knowledge of the UK education system
Teaching experience
Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Dynamics 365 products
Salary:
C £25,000
