Job Purpose: A key leadership role within the dnata catering Australia executive team supporting a business with over $800m in revenue and 4,000 employees, spread across multiple locations and products within the catering portfolio. The role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the finance function, including driving performance targets, developing a growth strategy with the CEO, delivering exceptional decision support, in addition to the core functional deliverables of the maintenance of a robust local control environment and all aspects of financial reporting. The role will also act as a natural ‘right hand’ to the CEO and key point of contact for HQ leadership. With a dotted line to the Vice President Business Finance for dnata Catering & Retail, the role is also responsible for overseeing the implementation of core dnata Finance objectives. These include compliance with all aspects of the Groups corporate policy, systems improvements, back-office consolidation and performance management across the finance function. As the company secretary the role will implement a robust risk management framework ensuring compliance with all legal and statutory financial requirements. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Delivery of Australia profit, cash generation and cash to group targets. 2. Financial reporting accountability for the local entity, including Group Submissions, Statutory and Tax 3. Local cash and working capital management to ensure liquidity, including financing through local banking partners. 4. Partner with the local business leadership, providing strategic recommendations on all aspects of the business including commercial, operations and support functions. 5. Ensure the finance function develops and implements financial controls and a governance framework to protect shareholder value, in line with all local and group regulations / policies. 6. Drive delivery of dnata and Emirates group core functional finance objectives (including corporate governance, business partnering, ‘many to few’ systems strategy, talent mapping and engagement etc). 7. Develop and/or review and approve material investment proposals (including major capital expenditure projects, new contracts and greenfield start-ups). 8. With the CEO and business teams, develop and drive plans for operational and commercial efficiencies including synergies across other dnata entities 9. Company secretary. 10. Leadership and development of Australian finance team (circa 30 heads), including talent management and succession planning.

Qualifications & Experience: – Bachelor’s degree (finance/commerce discipline) plus a relevant post-graduate professional finance qualification. Membership of a relevant professional body. – 12+ years’ experience in a large multi-national organisation plus at least 5 years in senior finance management positions, including leading a large team of senior experienced finance professionals working across multiple geographies in a matrix organisation. – Working knowledge of all aspects of the Finance discipline is essential including management accounting, financial and statutory accounting, taxation, working capital management and loan financing. – Aviation experience preferred but not a pre-requisite. Strong influencing skills and a proven ability to deal at all levels within a global business, combined with a sound knowledge of effective Finance best practice. – Must have the right to live and work in Australia.
