An exciting opportunity for the position of an Employability Officer has arisen in The Education People’s School Improvement, Secondary, Special and PRUs & Skills and Employability Service.
The role of the Employability Officer is crucial in developing employer engagement to support the service in the development of employability activities and to build employer networks. The successful candidate will ensure the work of the area team in Apprenticeships, Participation and Careers Enterprise Company (CEC) is fully integrated and has impact in providing opportunities for young people and building employer networks. The postholder will also be responsible for developing and evaluating projects involving employers, schools, and other partnership organisations.
The post holder will support the Principal Apprenticeship Lead and Principal post 16 Lead. In developing the employer networks, working closely with the CEC to support the skills and employment strategy. Supporting a number of schools, in collaboration with CEC, engaging with employers to developing an employment pathway through work experience, work trials and apprenticeships, increasing the number of apprenticeships and employment starts across Kent.
The post holder will also work with the Specialist Employment Service within The Education People, providing a broad-brush approach to employer engagement across the two services. The Specialist Employment Service provides a range of services to support individuals to gain and sustain paid employment. This role supports this by growing the organisations employer network and ensuring businesses have a clear understanding of how they can work with us.
