Finance Officer – Assets
Permanent full time
Remuneration starting from $65,943 per annum

The City of Busselton is one of the fastest growing Local Governments in the State, offering an unparalleled lifestyle in picturesque South West WA. We are currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced person to join our Finance team.

The primary purpose of this position is to administer the Financial Assets Register. This includes the development, provision and maintenance of efficient processes, procedures and controls, as well as timeliness and accuracy in relation to periodic asset reporting and reconciliation. The role also provides guidance to staff in relation to asset and stock management and administration matters.

To be considered for this role you must include in your application a statement addressing the following selection criteria:

Essential:

• Relevant qualifications and/ or significant experience in an Asset Accounting/Finance related role, preferably within Local Government;
• Knowledge of accounting standards and practices relevant to recording and administering assets;
• Well-developed interpersonal and customer service skills;
• Highly level of computer literacy, including intermediate Microsoft Excel skills;
• Highly developed analytical and numeracy skills;
• Well-developed time management and organisational

Desirable:

• Experience with Technology One ERP software;
• Experience in systems and process improvement projects.

Applicants must also:

• Hold a current C class drivers licence; and
• Be able to provide a National Police Clearance no more than six months old.
