Schedule:
8-10 hours/week during the school year, 32-40 hours/week during the summer
Responsibilities
Work with the Director of School Enrichment and Site Coordinator to implement DESE 21st CCLC program operations at the school site, which includes but is not limited to: recruiting students of greatest need, recruiting and retaining high-quality staff, implementing and executing on regular, high-quality learning activities, measuring and tracking various outcome data, and building overall community with students and families and within the school site;
Develop and schedule high-quality Project Based Learning activities over 10-week activity session cycles (3 cycles per school year, 1 6-week Summer session)
Conduct weekly activity observations and give staff feedback in order to improve student and teacher outcomes
Coordinate and oversee field trips and off-site activities
Sustain positive collaborations with school personnel and community partners to support student learning;
Train group leaders/teachers;
Work with Director of School Enrichment, Site Coordinator, staff, and parents to set goals and objectives to assure quality of service,
Assist in maintaining an environment that supports and encourages the growth and development of children;
Maintain compliance with all grant requirements;
Ensure the care, safety, and well-being of children in the group;
Participate in staff meetings, and on-going professional development;
Complete all required certifications; and
All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree is required;
Experience teaching or planning enrichment curriculum;
Experience working with school-aged children;
Experience working with community-based programs;
Experience managing other adults, both directly and indirectly;
Demonstrated performance competing administrative tasks;
Knowledge of sports/athletics, arts, music, and/or STEM programs is a plus;
Willingness to learn about childrens growth and development;
Requirements
Must possess the qualifications required for their positions in accordance with EEC regulations;
Must complete CORI, SORI and fingerprint scan in accordance with regulations set forth by the Department of Early Education and Care prior to employment;
Evidence of physical examination within one year prior to employment;
Evidence of immunizations against Measles, Mumps and Rubella; and
Maintain current infant/child CPR and First Aid Certification.
