The Color of Fresh Hiring for Prep Cook Full Time

The Color of Fresh is looking for a creative and loyal individual who is motivated to participate in cooking our delicious proteins, the assembly and preparation of bright and colorful dishes in the kitchen and knows how to have fun. You’ll be responsible for assisting with assembly, reading and following production sheets and preparing some of our unique recipes. A great team-member will be quick, diligent, efficient, and willing to improve on the job. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team. Work schedule includes Tuesdays and Saturdays 6am-2pm(ish) and other days as needed/available.

Responsibilities

• Read Production sheets and effectively cook a wide range of proteins utilizing several cooking methods
• Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
• Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
• Must be able to follow direction
• Participate in assembly of our meals
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

Skills

• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen is a plus
• Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils
• A team player with good communication skills
• Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
• Very good physical condition and endurance
• High school diploma or equivalent is desirable

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour
