The work location for this role is flexible to Burlington, Guelph, Toronto and Regina.
As the Vice President, Group Benefits Manufacturing you will be responsible to develop and implement a long-term strategic plan for the business unit. As a member of the Executive Management Team (EMT), you will collaborate with business partners to conceptualize and plan the integration of profitable products, channels, and markets.
What you’re responsible for:
Translating long-term strategies into short-term goals and objectives, including effective product contracts to ensure alignment to the business.
Owning leadership of a diverse range of group insurance products with insights to profitability effectiveness.
Creating and executing a strategy for profitable growth of the group business, factoring market and environmental trends to reduce risk with effective integrated, product, and tactics.
Developing partnerships with stakeholders to understand marketplace challenges, identify opportunities, and achieve business objectives.
Inspiring and motivating your leadership team to define and execute strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing leadership talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, diverse, and agile culture.

To join our team:
You have seven years of progressive leadership experience in the insurance industry.
You have a post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline.
You have expert knowledge of the financial and insurance industry, including a strong understanding of Group Benefits, Third-Party Markets, and distribution channels.
You have analytical and technical expertise, including familiarity with quantitative data analysis tools.
Having a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or a Fellow of The Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA) designation is an asset.
