We are looking for a Head of Global HR to join our growing, collaborative operations team, focused on delivering value, continuous improvement and building strong partnerships across the whole organisation.
We are excited to be strengthening our operations framework with the addition of this new role – to help drive the growth of our organisation in the coming years and help the Climate Group stay at the cutting edge of climate action.
In the first year a high priority will be delivering our EDI strategy in partnership with the leadership team, designing and delivering an enhanced talent development programme, embedding our policies globally, and helping drive the organisational design work needed for a growing organisation.
About the Climate Group
The Climate Group drives climate action. Fast. Our goal is a world of net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with greater prosperity for all.
We focus on systems with the highest emissions and where our networks have the greatest opportunity to drive change. We do this by building large and influential networks and holding organisations accountable, turning their commitments into action.
We share what we achieve together to show more organisations what they could do. We are an international non-profit organisation, founded in 2004, with offices in London, New Delhi and New York. We are proud to be part of the We Mean Business coalition.
About the role
We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, results-oriented Head of Global HR who will join a growing organisation and help shape the future of HR at the Climate Group. As Head of Global HR, you will be working closely with the COO and CEO, as well as the rest of the Leadership team to set the strategic direction for our people agenda.
As the organisation grows, we are looking to add an experienced Head of Global HR to both help grow and develop our existing team, improve and strengthen our HR processes, and develop and deliver our EDI partnership with the leadership team.
EDI & talent development
In the first year a high priority will be delivering our EDI strategy in partnership with the leadership team. We have been working to develop our EDI strategy internally with the support of external consultants and are very excited for the work in the coming years. We are focusing on both internal initiatives as well as reviewing our climate action programmes and the focus of our work through an EDI lens.
We plan to review our talent development programme in the coming year focusing on requirements at the different levels of the organisation to ensure our current staff and future staff are supported in driving the Climate Group’s mission.
Our new Head of Global HR will champion a performance culture across the organisation and support the leadership team with both complex employee relations issues as needed as well as ambitious development plans for our high-performing staff.
Organisational design and change management
Our planned growth trajectory means we are looking at how we can optimise our resources across the organisation and the Head of Global HR will be instrumental in our organisational design work in the coming year to support our organisational goals. They will also lead on establishing HR processes for any new locations the organisation might expand to.
The new Head of Global HR will be responsible for leading internal HR change management initiatives and optimising our processes. As the organisation grows, we are looking to further embed a more self-serve delivery model.
The global Head of Global HR will also focus on ensuring a consistent and high standard in HR across all of our offices with a focus of embedding our performance culture and organisational values globally.
Data driven HR strategy
We are further looking to strengthen HR data reporting and analysis and to develop HR KPIs that we integrate into our work and our strategy. Our new Head of Global HR would assist the leadership team with interpreting the data and influencing and supporting them to make the best decisions.
