Position Overview:
The City of Spruce Grove is looking for a temporary Labourer to maintain the City of Spruce Grove turf, grass, sport fields, pathways, trails and parks.

The term of this temporary full time position (40 hours per week) is from October 2023 to April 2024.

Responsibilities:
In this position you will:

• Learn safe operation procedures for hand tools and equipment while assisting Operators.
• Perform manual tasks required in parks operations.
• Safely operate vehicles and self-propelled equipment.

Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate has:

• A valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience (driver’s abstract satisfactory to the City of Spruce Grove is required).
• Physical fitness to perform rigorous daily duties in a range of weather conditions.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and interact in a positive manner with internal and external customers.
• Ability to maintain concentration and alertness in a variety of situations.
• Knowledge of OHS and WHIMIS regulations.
• Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools.
