Part Time Teacher position – Elementary Grades – Afternoon Hours

The Children’s Center of Weston is hiring for an exciting teaching opportunity! Help wanted for children 3rd – 5th grade!

Looking for a dynamic and caring teacher to join our team. Looking forward to reconnecting our community socially and to help foster long term friendships and social emotional learning (SEL), teach social skills and important life skills through continued learning and play. We would love the teacher in you to be part of the team and experience.

Salary commensurate with experience; based on $18.00 – $25.00 per hour

The Children’s Center of Weston, an after-school program in Weston, MA, is looking for motivated, energetic, creative, experienced, active, reliable, qualified teachers/educators for the upcoming school year 2021-2022. We are reopening and want you to be with us!

Dates: September 1 June 17 (or last day of school – no summer employment). Late August set up and training.

Hours are Monday – Friday 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. and early dismissal Wednesdays.

Additional hours available at various times throughout the school year.

Responsibilities include supervision of children, creating ideas/integrating activities for the school year, assisting in daily routines and activities, engaging in outdoor and gym play, planning and playing indoor games/planning art activities, creative play, providing homework assistance, communicating with parents and staff, and working together as a team.

Requirements include being a great team member, providing great leadership, having great organizational skills, using excellent communication skills, enjoying activity planning, displaying great work ethic/great attitude, and have prior experience with school aged children. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred but not necessary or pursuing an education in a related field.
