The College has a proud and successful tradition of supporting students between the ages of 16 – 25 to gain valuable life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their onward journey towards independence.

The College caters for young people and adults that have autism, additional learning needs and associated complex behaviours across day, 38 and 52 week placements. Successful candidates will be part of a large supportive team who work holistically across Care, Education and Therapeutic services supporting each other’s practice. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with trained, qualified professionals from across our multidisciplinary team and to join an expanding, successful educational organisation.

Cambian Lufton College requires a Deputy Head of Education to support our clear vision for continued improvement. We are seeking a committed, forward-thinking individual that will work in close partnership with the Head of Education and play a critical part of the education management team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the delivery of specialist education to those with additional and complex needs; including autism & Asperger’s, and a desire to drive quality education provision and continuous improvement in all areas of academic and vocational delivery. They will be passionate about improving the lives of all of our students, and innovative in their approach to providing specialist education.

The Deputy Head of Education will ensure the expectations set out by the Head of Education are reinforced throughout the whole education team. They will be expected to lead by example and work alongside staff to raise standards and increase outcomes as we develop a curriculum that challenges students and prepares them for a successful transition into adulthood.

The Deputy Head of Education will also share responsibility for the line management of education staff, taking responsibility for the Core strand of the curriculum (literacy, numeracy and ICT) and lead on the day to day running of the education provision in the absence of the Head of Education.
