Our Client, an emerging software and consulting business, is looking to fill a permanent position for a junior Software Business Development Manager, with a focus on the Financial Services Sector, based in Melbourne, VIC.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and generate new business opportunities including all Australian financial institutions, banks and non-bank lenders.
• Generate new sales leads, promote the existing services and solutions of the Client and understand their prospects’ ICT needs.
• Identify gaps in the competitor’s solutions and the existing ICT solutions in the Client’s target marke.t
• Manage the relationship with the existing partners and understand their solutions and services.

Main tasks:

• Compiling and categorising lists of prospective Financial Institutions and Fintechs in the A/NZ region.
• Acquiring, developing knowledge of the Client’s, business partners’, and competitors’ solutions and transferring the information to colleagues.
• Maintain an effective pipeline of new business prospects within their CRM.
• Assessing the existing and under development solutions based on market conditions and needs.
• Performing market research, developing marketing strategy and tactics, setting marketing goals, planning and implementing activities.
• Nurturing and developing relationships, attending face-to-face meetings with clients, prospective client businesses and partner companies.
• Attending sales meetings and events such as exhibitions and conferences.
• Managing logistics activities, arranging delivery of services, installation of equipment and the provision of services.
• Perform marketing data analysis, provide dashboard reporting and presenting information and insights to CMO.

Relevant skills and experience:

• Some experience in Marketing, digital marketing and common marketing analysis tools.
• Experience in data driven customer behaviour segmentation technique and methods such as RFM or CHAID would be desirable.
• Understanding of European Fintech market, especially in Open Banking and PSD2 solutions would be highly regarded.
• Good knowledge in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
• Experience on liaising with Banks and Financial Institutes and running marketing campaigns and business development.

• Experience with Digital Marketing and Business Development or similar.
• Customer Behaviour Analysis skills would also be highly desirable.

Relevant qualifications:

Must have:

• Bachelor degree in Business, Marketing or Management and a Masters would be highly desirable.
• Certified in Data-driven and/or Consumer Behaviour Marketing.
• Certified in Artificial Intelligence in marketing.

Nice to have:

• Power BI certification.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads.
• Social Media and SEO marketing.

An entry-level of $60-80K, inc Super + a bonus, based on performance and new business, is on offer for the candidate who best matches the detailed skills and experience requirements.
