Amazing opportunity to join a leading ethical global brand as a Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting based out of our West Sussex head office.
You will chief and manage the Financial Accounting and Reporting function for the TBS Group, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and meeting all internal and external reporting statutory deadlines.
You will be responsible for the following:
Managing and leading the Financial Accounting and Reporting team of 7 (2 direct reports).
You will oversee the Global Statutory Audit and work with our external Auditors.
You will oversee all internal and external statutory reporting, achieving all deadlines and deliverables on a timely basis, in accordance with all policies.
You will oversee the centralised financial accounting responsibilities, such as Leases, Fixed Asset, Stock, Intercompany and Loyalty programmes.
Responsibility for TBS accounting policies, ensuring these are updated in accordance with IFRS and the companies Manual of Accounting.
Oversea the annual fixed and intangible asset impairment testing.
Ensure compliance with S-Ox controls as they apply to FA&R responsibilities.
Provide technical accounting advice and support both the worldwide Finance function and wider business as and when required, including projects.
Drive continuous improvement and compliance.
Provide outstanding customer service to and support the Financial Controller, direct and indirect reports, and all internal customers.
Willingness to challenge and change current process and ways of working, work cross functionally with stakeholders to work more efficiently without compromising quality of output or deadlines.
Influence and engage with key stakeholders at a senior level including resolution of accounting issues where relevant.
Full qualified ACA or ACCA and post qualification experience is essential
Knowledge of international accounting practices and standards, essential
Previous experience of working in an international finance environment
Previous experience of managing a team
Knowledge of SAP/BW or similar systems
Extensive knowledge of MS Office with an intermediate/advanced understanding of Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational skills combined with accuracy and attention to detail
