PRIMARY DUTIES:
FINANCE
Manages and performs all financial activities of the organization: daily accounting activities, payroll, sales order entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing, cash management, treasury and banking according to GAAP.
Evaluates processes and develops procedures for all payroll related functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Evaluates processes and develops procedures for all accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash handling functions to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Responsible for daily cash management. Plan cash demands and cash flow. Ensure available funds meet or exceed demands. Report any shortfalls to President. Transfers funds between bank accounts.
Monitors the accounting and internal control functions and procedures, and maintains integrity of the accounting system.
Prepares monthly and annual financial statements. Prepares journal entries, posts transactions to general ledger, reconciles ledgers and accounts. Assure systems and procedures exist for timely and accurate recording of transactions.
Designs, reviews and implements internal control relevant to the preparation and fair presentation of financial statements.
Assemble monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet. Provide analysis on financial results.
Develops and monitors strategic goals for company development.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve financial health of the company.
Prepares annual budget. Monitors budget during the year. Make budget transfers as necessary.
Work closely with external CPA to compile timely and accurate filings. Review tax and other development strategies with CPA and executive team and implement as needed.
Develops and maintains adequate internal control procedures for all financial functions, including adequate separation of duties. Ensures proper internal control measures are being followed.
Responsible for maintaining agency accounting software, including updates and periodic review of agency needs as they relate to the software.
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process.
Provide financial advice and technical assistance
Manages the company’s long-term debt. Ensures that payment schedules are met. Performs duties necessary to issue new debt
OPERATIONS
Design and implement of processes to ensure the smooth, reliable flow of materials from vendors for continued and efficient production.
Establish and maintain vendor relationships to ensure readily available supply of high-quality materials.
Develops and maintains company purchasing process. Negotiate prices and payment terms with vendors.
Forecast demand based on production schedule, shipping transit times, material lead times, and other factors.
Maintain bill of material including iterations and product updates.
Collaborate with the production and sales teams to develop lead times and ensure that delivery dates are met or exceeded.
Provide training as needed to various staff regarding processes, procedures, software, regulations, etc.
Ensure the organization complies with all applicable legislation and regulations, e.g., product labeling, import requirements, and workplace safety.
Interact with and assists customers and vendors.
Coordinate with the product development team to aid in the development and launch new products.
HUMAN RESOURCES
Assists with the planning and staffing efforts of the company.
Perform all duties related to recruiting an onboarding.
Regularly reviews company benefit program. Report annual renewal information to executive team and makes recommendations.
Maintain employee records.
Develop company culture improvement. Plan team building events and activities.
Oversees the administration of employee benefits and ensures funds are administered appropriately.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Strong organizational analytical, quantitative and social skills.
Self-starter and strong ethical standards.
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports.
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment.
Current and relevant ERP system experience.
Well-founded grasp of financial statement preparation.
General ledger experience.
Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers, staff, customers, and vendors.
Demonstrated knowledge of best practice across multiple facets of operations.
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with bank and balance sheet account reconciliation.
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business.
Minimum 5-7 years of overall full cycle accounting experience.
5 years of experience managing operations in support of complex product line.
