Responsible for ensuring accounting and payroll systems are up to date, accurate and comply with all UK legislation and best practices.

Duties include processing, checking, and balancing fortnightly payroll. Managing all payroll resources, investigating, and resolving payroll queries.

Responsible for Purchase Ledger, checking invoices, ensuring purchase policy is understood and adhered to by staff. Coding of invoices to ensure booked correctly and inputting onto accounts software. Matching invoices to statements. Dealing with supplier queries with regards to invoices and payment of invoices. Preparation of monthly payments runs, processing payments following Directors authorisation.

Responsible for preparing daily income reporting and banking, weekly financial reports for management and aiding managers in their understanding of these reports. Preparation of further reporting per needs of the Director.

Further duties to include keeping accurate Sales Ledgers, Cash Books, Bank Reconciliations, Statutory VAT Returns, Preparation of ‘books’ for annual accounts.

Desirable to be AAT qualified, equivalent or QBE. Would ideally have a minimum of 3 years industry accounting experience, must have knowledge of Sage 50 accounts and payroll.
